    La COMPAÑÍA CLÁSICA DE COMEDIAS puede considerarse una evolución del grupo ilicitano
ATROTE TEATRO, este con más de 15 años de experiencia tras sus espaldas. Desde su nacimiento en 1990 se ha convertido en uno de los grupos de teatro más veteranos y consolidados de Elche.

Sus miembros han completado su formación dramática en escuelas de Valencia, Murcia (ESAD), Madrid -Cristina Rota, Núcleo de Investigación Cinematográfica-, Centro Dramático Nacional y Universidades de Brigham Young y Chicago (EE.UU)

Algunos de sus actores han participado en diversas series de TV (“Calle Nueva”, “El Super”… ) y producciones cinematográficas (“Buen Viaje, Excelencia”, “Sagitario”, Isi/Disi”, “40 Grados”…) y han recibido numerosos reconocimientos tanto en festivales de teatro como de cine.

Entre sus espectáculos teatrales destacan:

El espíritu inquieto de este grupo les ha llevado a montar un Auto de los Reyes-Magos en catalán, así como realizar numerosos cortometrajes de ficción. El último de ellos “EL FAROL”, interpretado por el ganador de un GOYA, Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa , premiado en algunos de los Festivales nacionales más importantes y cuyos derechos de emisión han sido adquiridos por Canal 9 TVV.

Crearon y organizaron durante cuatro años seguidos la Mostra de Teatre Jove “Dama d´Elx” (1996/99) y ocuparon la Vicedirección del II Festival Off de Música y Teatro Medieval de Elche, siendo un punto de referencia obligado para numerosos grupos noveles de la Comunidad Valenciana.

En la actualidad coordinan las actividades culturales de Abi- yoyo Espacio Infantil y dirigen dentro de sus instalaciones la Primera Escuela de Cine y Teatro para niños de Elche .

    The COMPAÑÍA CLÁSICA DE COMEDIAS (Classical Company of Comedies) can be considered an evolution of the Spanish company ATROTE TEATRO, which has more than 15 years of experience to back it up. Since its formation in 1990, it has become one of the best consolidated and more veteran theater companies in the region.
Its members have completed their Thespian training in schools of Valencia, Murcia (ESAD), Madrid -Cristina Rota, N.I.C. (Cinematography Investigation Group), National Theater Center- and the Brigham Young University –Utah- and University of Chicago (U.S.A.)
Some of its actors have participated in several TV shows (“Calle Nueva”, “El Super”…) and film productions (“Buen Viaje, Excelencia”, “Sagitario”, Isi/Disi”, “40 Grados”…) and have received a great number of awards both in film and theater festivals.

The eager soul of this company has brought them to set up a Medieval Religious Play in Català, as well as producing several fiction Short Films. The latest one, “EL FAROL”(The Bluff), performed by the GOYA (Spanish Film Academy Awards) winner, Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa , has been awarded in some of the most important National Festivals and it has been recently acquired by Canal 9 Television to be premiered on TV.
They created and organized for four years the Mostra de Teatre Jove “Dama d´Elx” –Youth Theater Festival (1996/99) and were the Vice- Diretors of the II Festival Off de Música y Teatro Medieval de Elche, becoming a point of reference for many of the younger regional companies.
Nowadays they coordinate the cultural activities at “Abi-yoyo Espacio Infantil” –an Arts School for children- and direct, within its facilities the first Film and Theater School for children, in the Region .
